The members of Slovak Humour Academy enjoyed the festival already the day before its opening, on Thursday, at near Skalka. Also the first foreign guests appreciated relaxation meeting and walk to the view.
Milan Markovič is giving an autograph to Portuguese clown Enano. Martin Geišberg and Paul Clark from Amsterdam at the back. The president of Slovak Humour Academy came to Kremica’s castle in luxury Hummer.
He was expected by three hostesses and four strong carriers… …and by lots of visitors curious about opening.
The carpet and the opening ceremony were short. The mayor of Kremnica wished everyone good atmosphere and the weather as well.
The opening speeches were thought seriously, although they were funny. The president of Slovak Humour Academy amnestied all winners of Hit Goose.
The member of European parliament Milan Gaľa proposed to shorten the festival’s name for European… New anthem of festival had its first release here and was played three times.
Finally, president left the opening ceremony as one of the carriers of ”stricken generals’ office”. After the opening ceremony he followed the procession through Zámocké square to Štefánik square.
Street music band Agostons from Hungary led the procession. The president M. Markovič enjoyed being admired among his fans.
Interesting street music band from Hungary had a concert also next day. The visitors like sitting in natural amphitheatre at Štefánik square.
Olaf Bernstengel from Germany introduced his puppet Cirkus Gockelini in The Alley of Famous Noses. There are lots of performances for children (and also for adults) at the festival. Most of them are reprised.
